Drivetrain Services
The drivetrain system includes differentials and sometimes a transfer case, which all generate power to the drive wheels. Your vehicle has two differentials, one between both front and rear drive wheels. They vary the amount of torque allowing each wheel to turn at a different speed when turning corners. In 4x4 and al
l wheel drive vehicles, the transfer case plays a large role in shifting power between front and rear axles when accelerating; especially in poor traction conditions when all four wheels are engaged.
Front or Rear Differential Fluid Change Service
Your Lube Center technicians will:
- completely drain and flush old fluid
- refill with new differential fluid
- in limited slip rear differential vehicles, add special additive as required by manufacturer’s recommendation
Deluxe Front or Rear Differential Fluid Change Package
The Deluxe Package takes the differential service one step further for even greater protection. The differential covers are removed to conduct a thorough cleaning of the inside of the differential unit.
Your Lube Center technicians will:
- remove differential cover
- completely drain and flush old fluid
- replace gasket and apply professional-grade sealant
Why change differential fluid?
Changing the differential fluid protects differentials from damage due to build-up of old or contaminated lubricant.
Transfer Case Fluid Change Service
The transfer case is only in 4x4 and all wheel drive vehicles. It shifts power between front and rear axles during acceleration; especially in poor traction conditions when all four wheels are engaged.

- refill with new transfer case fluid
